Bottle feeding

Bottle feeding

Many mothers may choose to bottle feed their babies. Some may wish to express their own breast milk to allow someone else to give baby a bottle; some may be advised by their health visitor or pediatrician to give supplementary bottles and some mothers may simply choose not to breastfeed. Philips AVENT bottle feeding products offer more choices for mothers, making it easy to give baby the best, with the flexibility you deserve.

Avent feeding bottle

Our Natural Feeding Bottles are clinically proven to reduce colic*. They also work with baby's natural feeding rhythm to promote healthy, active feeding.

* A clinical study showed that at 2 weeks of age, babies fed with an AVENT bottle showed a trend to less colic than those fed with a conventional bottle.

Choosing the right nipple

Our nipples come with five different flow rates. Our age indications are approximate as babies develop at different rates.

Convenient storage for breast milk

Breastfeeding mothers want maximum protection and convenience when storing precious breast milk. That's why Philips AVENT has two storage systems that are reliable, hygienic and easy to use.

The advantage of the AVENT bottle

Our Natural Feeding Bottles are clinically proven to reduce colic. They also work with baby's natural feeding rhythm to promote healthy, active feeding. The built-in Airflex valve allows your baby to control milk flow more like breastfeeding.

nipple for healthy, active feeding"
Anti-colic

A clinical study demonstrated that at two weeks of age, babies fed with the Philips AVENT Airflex Bottle experienced less colic than babies fed with a conventional bottle.

Easy to combine breast and bottle

The naturally shaped nipple, combined with the fact that your baby controls milk flow more like breastfeeding, makes it easier to combine breast and bottle.

How it works

As your baby feeds, the unique skirt on the AVENT nipple flexes to allow air into the bottle, preventing any vacuum build-up.

This allows your baby to suckle almost as at the breast. Listen for the gentle whistling sound and watch the air bubbles burst on the surface of the milk. That's your guarantee that the air is being released into the bottle - not into your baby's tummy.

Simple hygienic assembly

Because the Airflex valve is built into the nipple, there are less parts for you to assemble and clean, making the AVENT Airflex Feeding Bottle ultra-hygienic and simple to use.

Available in 3 sizes:

Airflex feeding bottles:
  • 4oz
  • 9oz
  • 11oz
- All sizes available in single and twin packs.

Choosing the right nipple for your baby

Our nipples come with five different flow rates. You will know when your baby is ready to move onto a faster flow rate because he or she will try to suck harder to get the milk more quickly. They may also show signs of tiredness or frustration during feeding. Remember that age indications are approximate as babies develop at different rates.
